Every Day at the Beach
After years of living in a house with a single, dated bathroom, my clients were ready for a proper Master Suite. An adjoining room was converted to create a big, luxurious bathroom, open to the bedroom so the owners could enjoy the beautiful tile work. This new, large area allowed for an expanse of cabinets that recaptures lost storage space.
Two design focal points define this room: a “river” of river rocks adds interest to the wide expanse of floor tile and a glass-block alcove in the shower glows with natural light from outside. The spa style double shower includes two showerheads, a hand-shower and body-jets.
The color and design of the room suggests the beach, with sand colored cabinets, water colored glass tile and even a family of sea turtles traveling along the natural limestone shower walls!
